Even if you will use an SPS (dealer programming software) and an MDI (dealer interface) to attempt a reprogramming, it might start reprogramming, but will give you an error in the process. Dealer will want to sell you a brand new ECM, and then the programming will succeed. But don't worry. There is a way to clone some "used" ECM's.
